What is Zeitgeist?
The concept of Zeitgeist is best credited to Gottfried Herder in a critique of the work Genius Seculi by the philologist Christian Adolph Klotz where he introduced the word Zeitgeist. It is a German translation of Latin Genius Seculi meaning "guardian spirit of the age."
